Sollentuna Centrum

A barcode makes the graphic identity for Sollentuna shopping center. Gabor Palotai Design’s barcode is elevated to a piece of pop art, while its function is stripped bare from merely being the code of the goods for sale. This barcode is a piece of sculpture above the entrance of the shopping mall. At any size, the barcode holds sway. Along the façade of the building the barcode runs like a giant art installation. The rainbow colors of the bars in the code reflect on the mall’s restaurant Oasis, a jungle complete with a rainbow-colored parrot, whose colors also goes hand in hand with the rainbow flag, a sign for an inclusive shopping community.
